Frequently misunderstood, with reliance on ventilation standards that are prescriptive but are missing much important implementation detail crucial to successful installations, with many stories of failures, residential ventilation is far from a ‘slam dunk.’ This course will be heavily illustrated with images and concise descriptions of ‘what went wrong and how to avoid it’ to help you identify and avoid the pitfalls early on – when it is easiest and least expensive in time and materials. You will also be provided with calculation spreadsheets, along with installation and commissioning checklists to facilitate ‘getting it right the first time,’ and to facilitate a high level of client satisfaction. The great majority of the material in this course is from actual installation issues and failures, and measured data.
